Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam has been the No. 1 option for the team for the past few seasons. He was instrumental in helping bring a championship to the organization in 2019.

Siakam has been with the Raptors since 2016. The forward has been giving back to the community by starting his own foundation called PS43 Foundation.

Siakam started this foundation to honor his late father, Tchamo, who was passionate about education and empowering people to make them a better citizen. These are the ideologies that live through the foundation.

The PS43 Foundation launched in April of 2021. There are two initiatives called ‘Digital Divide’ and ‘Mathathletes.’ These follow Tchamo’s passion of education and enriching the youth with knowledge.

Alexandra Park is home to a new basketball court thanks to Siakam and Toronto Maple Leafs’ John Tavares. They both made donations through their respective charitable organizations to pay for the court. Siakam talked about what it meant to open this new court via CBC:

“They’re all excited about it and I can see the joy in their faces. To me that’s what matters the most. Being able to have that sense of community, basketball courts in a park like this is always something that brings people together. And that’s something that’s very important to us.”

Siakam and Tavares understand the power for change that they have as athletes and are committing to making the community a better place.

The two athletes taking time out of their day and spending it with the youth made for an unforgettable day.

Toronto mentioned as one of the teams expected to monitor Giannis Antetokounmpo’s situation closely

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has made it known that he wants to be playing for championships.

He hinted that he could leave the Bucks if he feels that the team is not in contention.

These comments have had NBA teams monitoring this situation closely, one being the Raptors.
