The Toronto Raptors are hoping for better fortunes this season.

The team never found their footing last season on route to a disappointing 41-41 record. The Raptors qualified for the Play-In Tournament but were eliminated by the Chicago Bulls.

The Raptors enter the 2023-24 season with first-year head coach Darko Rajakovic and a lot of question marks surrounding Pascal Siakam and the direction of this team.

Nonetheless, the Raptors will open up their new season against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 25.

The team won’t have to wait long for Nick Nurse’s return to Toronto. The 76ers are in town 3 days later on Oct 28.

As for former Raptors star point guard Fred VanVleet he will return to Toronto with his new team the Houston Rockets on Feb. 9.

Some other notable matchups are the Raptors first In-Season Tournament game against the Boston Celtics on Nov. 17. The Raptors’ In-Season Tournament games will count towards their regular season record except for the championship game.

The Raptors welcome in Jamal Murray and the reigning NBA champion Denver Nuggets to town on Dec. 20.

Kyle Lowry and the Miami Heat come to Scotiabank Arena on Jan 17. While Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers pay a visit to Toronto on Jan 26.

The Raptors have to wait until Apr 2. for LeBron James and The Los Angeles to make their lone appearance in Toronto.

According to Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy, the Raptors strength of schedule based on the 2022-23 records is 15th. The Raptors have 14 back-to-backs and have the 2nd fewest miles travelled this season.

The Raptors won’t have much National TV coverage. They have the fewest National TV games for the 2023-24 season with 3, per Brett Siegel.

Raptors tough west coast trip

The Raptors toughest month of the season is arguably January. Toronto begins 2024 with a brutal 6-game West Coast trip.

The Raptors will take on the Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Utah Jazz over a nine-day span.
