The Toronto Raptors are on the road as they take on the Washington Wizards for the second time this preseason at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The Raptors got several days rest since playing Washington in Montreal to kick off their exhibition schedule.
That game took place on Oct. 6, where Toronto handled the Wizards 125-98. RJ Barrett led the team in scoring with 17 points on 7-for-10 shooting from the field.
Unfortunately, head coach Darko Rajakovic has to live without Barrett as he is out the rest of the preseason with a sprain to the AC joint in his right shoulder.
Toronto will also be without Immanuel Quickley, making the team without two of their top three options. However, Scottie Barnes is slatted to make his preseason debut tonight, but expected to play limited minutes.
After missing extended time with a season ending hand injury in March, it will be nice to see Barnes back on the floor.
With Quickley and Barrett out, this allows for players like Gradey Dick, Davion Mitchell and Ochai Agbaji to get extended run.
In addition to Jamal Shead, who put up 10 points and 4 assists in 17 minutes in his preseason debut.
On the other hand, Washington is coming off another blowout loss to the New York Knicks. With the Wizards starters struggling to shoot efficiently, look for them to be aggressive to establish a rhythm.
Notably, players like Jordan Poole, Kyle Kuzma and rookie Alex Sarr are going to be the focal point.
