Raptors Officially Unveil New Purple Jerseys For This Season

The Toronto Raptors are bringing back purple.

The Raptors have officially unveiled their “Classic Edition” throwback “Purple Fever” jerseys for this season.

The jerseys pay homage to their purple jerseys from the early 2000’s:

The purple jersey returning is part of the Raptors celebrating their 30th season in the league. The Raptors also unveiled a new commemorative logo for the year, which features the No. 30 with a Raptors claw mark on the logo.

The Raptors are expected to drop another alternate jersey for this season which will feature the classic dinosaur logo posing as Vince Carter doing his iconic 2000 slam dunk contest dunk. The jersey has not been officially announced yet, but it’s expected to be the teams’ “City Edition” jersey for this season:

It will be a jam-packed 30th anniversary season for the Raptors as they have also announced a series of celebrations that will take place throughout the year to honor the milestone.

This includes Toronto retiring Carter’s No. 15 jersey, marking the first ever jersey retired by the franchise. This will take place on Nov. 2 against the Sacramento Kings.

Immanuel Quickley says Derrick Rose is the most impactful leader he has ever played with

Immanuel Quickley will be entering his first full season with the Toronto Raptors.

Quickley was a backup with the New York Knicks, but since coming to Toronto he has been a starter.

The 25-year-old is the fifth oldest on the team and the second oldest member of the Raptors starting lineup. He will need to be one of the main leaders this season. Quickley talked about the leaders he played with who have had the biggest impact on his career thus far.
