The first thing that sticks out when looking at the Raptors schedule is that they will have a tough stretch of games to begin the season.
The Raptors first four opponents of the season will be the Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets.
In the Raptors first 17 games they will only take on two teams who had a losing record last season in the Charolette Hornets and Detroit Pistons.
The Raptors will see 7 Western Conference opponents in their first 10 games.
The Raptors will have only 1 game on US national TV. It will be a Jan. 8 matchup at New York against the Knicks on ESPN.
The Raptors will take on the defending champion Celtics for the first time this season in Boston on Nov. 16.
Toronto will host Pascal Siakam and the Indiana Pacers on Nov. 18. The Raptors will welcome in another former Raptor in O.G. Anunoby when they host the Knicks on Dec. 9. Anunoby did not play in his return to Toronto last season due to injury. Then Fred VanVleet and the Houston Rockets come to town on Dec. 22. VanVleet also did not play in his return to Toronto last season.
Toronto finished the 2023-24 season 25-57.
Raptors in East Group B for Emirates NBA Cup
The NBA will be doing its In-Season Tournament again, but they have renamed it to the Emirates NBA Cup.
The Raptors will be placed in East Group B along with the Milwaukee Bucks, Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers.
Each team will play four group stage games on ‘Cup Nights’ taking place on Tuesday’s and Friday’s between Nov. 12 and Dec. 3, which will be included in Toronto’s schedule.
