The Toronto Raptors are signing Bruno Fernando.

The Raptors are signing Bruno Fernando, per a source.
It’s a non-guaranteed deal. Basically, come in to camp and compete for a roster spot. Some guarantees would kick in if he makes the team.
Not an Exhibit 10; he’s not 2-way eligible, no 905 implication.

Fernando played in 45 games with the Atlanta Hawks last season. He averaged 6.3 points and 4.3 rebounds while shooting 58.3 percent from the field.
Fernando for his career has averaged 4.0 points and 3.3 rebounds in 5 NBA seasons with the Hawks, Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers.
The Raptors frontcourt room features Jakob Poeltl and Kelly Olynyk on guaranteed multi-year deals. They’ll be joined by Ulrich Chomche and Branden Carlson who are on two-way contracts.
The Raptors now have one open roster spot for a player on a guaranteed deal after they parted ways with Javon Freeman-Liberty and Sasha Vezenkov. The Raptors should also likely have at least one more player signed for training camp who will battle it out with Fernando for that final roster spot.
Fernando was drafted by the 76ers 34th overall in the 2019 NBA draft out of Maryland. He played 2 years in college, averaging 13.6 points and 10.6 rebounds per game with the Terrapins.
The Raptors have announced that their training camp will begin on Oct. 1 in Montreal. It will run through Oct. 5.
The Raptors preseason schedule begins on Oct. 6.
