Chicago Bulls forward and former Toronto Raptors icon DeMar DeRozan is looking for a new home.
After three seasons with Chicago, it is apparent the Bulls are looking to start from scratch with Coby White at the forefront.
When the Bulls traded Alex Caruso to the Oklahoma City Thunder, that move informed DeRozan that a return to Chicago may not be for his best interest.
Since entering free agency, the former Raptor has been talking to teams to try and get a deal within the $20 million price range.
Now, the Sacramento Kings are viewed as the favorite to land DeRozan and could come to terms on an agreement relatively soon, via ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski:
Woj: “DeMar DeRozan has played his last game for the Chicago Bulls”
Kings have “dug in” on DeMar S&T but need a 3rd team to offload salary

Since being traded from Toronto, DeRozan has yet to win at a high level with the San Antonio Spurs or Bulls.
Assuming a deal gets done, this would add another noteworthy talent to a compact Western Conference. While DeRozan’s fit with De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis could be clunky at times, the talent level is there.
Originally from Compton, this would present an opportunity for DeRozan to essentially play at ‘home’ in California.
Hopefully, DeRozan is able find some success in potentially his last stop of his career at 34-years-old.
DeMar DeRozan opens up about being traded from Toronto
While DeRozan was beloved by many in Toronto, his time came to a sudden end when Kawhi Leonard became available in 2019.
Unfortunately, the Raptors had to make a tough decision to trade him to San Antonio, but it resulted in a championship in the end.
Since then, five years have passed and DeRozan opened up about how he felt being traded away from Toronto.
