Former Toronto Raptors assistant coach Micah Nori is interviewing for the Cleveland Cavaliers head coaching gig.
Nori became an intriguing candidate as he filled in for Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch on the sidelines. He also earned an interview with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Cleveland is beginning their expansive search for a new coach and there are numerous candidates in the running. Nori is one of them, via Adrian Wojanrowski of ESPN:

Another promising assistant, David Adelman of the Denver Nuggets has now earned an interview for Cleveland as well.
For the Cavaliers, they need to make sure this hire fits their needs and appeases Donovan Mitchell. However, it is great to see a former Raptors assistant start to get some head coaching consideration.
While this process is just getting started, if Nori doesn’t get this job, he should get another opportunity down the line.
Nori is a part of a successful coaching staff that turned the Timberwolves around. The Timberwolves are coming off their first Western Conference Finals appearance in 20 years.

Another former and beloved Raptor is DeMar DeRozan, who devoted all his energy and effort into the Raptors organization.
Unfortunately for DeRozan, Toronto made the tough decision to trade him in 2018 for Kawhi Leonard. It resulted in a championship for the Raptors. DeRozan recently opened up about the trade, admitting it was a tough transition for him.
