The Toronto Raptors season is over.
The Raptors finished the 2023-24 season 25-57, which was the sixth-worst record in the league.
The franchise can now look ahead to the offseason and focus on an important 2024 NBA Draft.
The Raptors could have up to three picks this summer.
They have a 45.8 percent chance of keeping their own first-round pick (top-6 protected). They have a 37.2 percent chance of moving into the top-4 and a 9 percent chance of landing the no. 1 overall pick.
If the pick falls outside of the top-6, it will go to the San Antonio Spurs as part of the Jakob Poeltl trade that took place last year.
The Raptors will find out at the NBA Draft Lottery on May 12 if they will keep their first-round pick or not.
The Raptors will also have the Indiana Pacers first-round pick via the Pascal Siakam trade. This pick will fall between No. 16-19 overall. The Pacers won on Sunday which allowed Indiana to avoid the Play-In Tournament in the East.
Finally, the Raptors will have the Detroit Pistons second-round pick which will be No. 31.
The Raptors acquired the pick from the New York Knicks as part of the O.G. Anunoby trade that saw the team add RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley in exchange for Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa, and Malachi Flynn.
This means the Raptors are going to open up night 2 of the new two-day 2024 NBA Draft with the first pick in the second-round.
The Raptors are hoping they can capitalize on this upcoming draft in a big way. Since the team is in a rebuild it is important for them to hit on these picks.
