The Toronto Raptors are starting to build good habits. They knock off the Washington Wizards 130-122 for another victory.
Toronto has now won two games in a row. They upset the Milwaukee Bucks on April 5th to snap their 15-game losing streak.
Immanuel Quickley led the Raptors with a team-high 31 points. He also had 13 assists and 7 rebounds. RJ Barrett scored 22 points and Gary Trent Jr. had 20.
Kelly Olynyk added 21 points as five Raptors finished in double-figures. Gradey Dick scored 13 from off the bench, but he did leave the game with a right groin contusion.
Deni Avdija had 32 points and 10 rebounds. Meanwhile, Jordan Poole had 20 points and 12 assists for Washington. Corey Kispert scored 21 points, but the Wizards lost for the sixth time in seven games.
Toronto hit 7 of their first 11 shots as they got off to a strong start. The Raptors were up 42-17 after the first quarter.
Washington then outscored Toronto 21-2 over the first seven minutes of the second quarter as Toronto missed 14 of 15 field goal attempts. The Raptors recovered though as they made its next eight straight shots and led 63-50 at the half.
The Wizards made things interesting in the second half, but the Raptors were able to prevail to pick up the win.
It’s only the 7th time Toronto has won consecutive games this season.
The Raptors remain with the sixth-worst record in the league, with 4 games left on the season.
