The streak is over.
The Toronto Raptors defeat the Milwaukee Bucks 117-111 to snap their 15-game losing streak. It is the Raptors first victory since March 3.
The Bucks have now lost to the Wizards, Grizzlies and Raptors in three consecutive games.
Toronto got some players back for this game as Ochai Agbaji returned after a three-game absence along with Gary Trent Jr. and RJ Barrett.
Milwaukee was missing Giannis Antetokounmpo who was out with a hamstring injury.
Trent Jr. led all Raptors scorers with 31 points as he hit 7 three-pointers. RJ Barrett chipped with 26, while Immanuel Quickley finished with 25 points to go along with 11 rebounds and 9 assists.
Toronto played a competitive game throughout and looked completely different than the team that suffered a franchise worst 48-point loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves the other night.
Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic was proud of his team and said that it was great having guys back playing together:
“It’s great when we have our guys coming back and playing. I thought during the whole stretch the team stayed together. It’s good to get a win.”
Toronto used a strong second quarter to create separation and then they kept the pressure on Milwaukee in the second-half. Every time the Bucks made a run, the Raptors had a response.
Trent Jr., Barrett and Quickley combined for 82 points. Quickley did a great job of getting to the line as he finished 14-15 from the charity stripe.
This was a good team win for the Raptors as they can finally put to rest this losing streak. The Raptors can now focus on finishing the season strong with 5 games.
