The Toronto Raptors have lost 2 games in a row and 4 of their last 5.
They are coming off a bad loss against the shorthanded Miami Heat. The Heat won the game without Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro.
Toronto’s starters got outscored by Miami’s starters 82-76.
The Raptors’ starters have been outscored in 4 of the last 5 games (-29 in 75 minutes) and they have lost those 4 games.
TSN’s Josh Lewenberg asked Darko Rajakovic if he would consider making a starting lineup change:
The Raptors’ starters have been outscored in 4 of the last 5 games (-29 in 75 minutes). Not unrelated: they’ve lost those 4 games.
I asked Rajakovic if he’d consider making a change to that unit. “We’ll continue to look at everything and evaluate everything.”

It’s interesting that Rajakovic didn’t shut down the idea and kept things open. The Raptors have had the same starting lineup since the first game of the regular season.
One change some fans are calling for is benching Dennis Schroder and starting Gary Trent Jr. Scottie Barnes would become the starting point guard and Trent Jr. would inject more shooting in the starting lineup. Schroder would then run the second unit.
Schroder is coming off his worst game of the season where he shot 4-18 from the field. He took the most shots on the team even though he was struggling.
Barnes got off to a slow start in the first-half and didn’t get going until the fourth quarter.
Having Barnes as the starting point guard who make him the primary ball handler, thus putting the ball in his hands a lot more.
An imminent change to the starting lineup seems unlikely, but if the Raptors continue to lose games Rajakovic might have to switch things up.
Raptors look to end two-game skid
The Raptors will be in need of a win on Dec. 8 when they take on the Charolette Hornets.
This will be the first meeting of the season between the two teams.
