The Toronto Raptors are back after a couple of days off due to the In-Season Tournament. Toronto is back home to take on the Miami Heat.
One of, if not the biggest storyline heading into this matchup is Kyle Lowry facing off against his former team. Lowry cemented his legacy with the Raptors by winning a championship in 2019.
The guard spent eight years in Toronto and became a beloved player alongside his running mate of DeMar DeRozan. Those two were the building blocks of the franchise for years making multiple playoff runs and consistently being a competitive team, year in and year out.
Now being 37-years-old, Lowry is entering the final years of his career and retirement could be approaching soon. So much so, that he said that he wants to sign a one-day contract with Toronto before he retires:
Kyle Lowry reiterates he wants to sign a one-day contract before he retires but says don’t count on that being next year. He says he still has basketball to play

Despite playing for multiple teams throughout his long career, the best moments of his career are associated with the Raptors. Lowry has left Raptors fans with everlasting memories that they’ll never forget and he was all about the city of Toronto.
Lowry poured everything he had into the Raptors organization and thankfully it resulted in the franchise’s first championship. Now he is considered one of, if not the greatest Raptor of all-time.
Lowry appeared in 601 games for Toronto averaging 17.5 points, 7.1 assists and 4.9 rebounds on 42.5% from the field and 37.7% from 3.
Darko Rajakovic has dinner incentive for his players
Ever since Lowry’s departure, the Raptors have struggled to find consistency. This year is no different as the tools are there, but things are not clicking.
Now sitting with a record of 9-11, first-time head coach Darko Rajakovic is trying to incentivize his players with a dinner if they win three straight games.
