Gradey Dick was assigned to the Raptors 905 following the Toronto Raptors win over the Chicago Bulls on Nov. 24.
This was the right call since Dick has been struggling as of late. There’s been a big learning curve for the rookie at the NBA level.
For the season Dick is averaging 3.9 points, on only 27 percent shooting from the field and 24.4 percent shooting from three in 14.7 minutes of action. It is surprising that Dick is having these poor shooting numbers, since he was regarded as the best shooter of his draft class.
Dick’s struggles unfortunately continued in the G League. Dick suited up for the Raptors 905 as they took on Capital City Go-Go in Mississauga. In 33 minutes of action Dick scored just 2 points on 1/12 shooting from the field and was 0/6 from three. He had 3 turnovers and was a -13.
Don’t expect Dick to be back with the Raptors for their next game. It has already been announced that Dick will miss the Raptors game against the Cleveland Cavaliers:

It’s been a rocky journey so far for Dick. He showed a lot of good things in the preseason and in spurts during the regular season. However, he looks to have lost his confidence especially with his jump shot. It’s a make or miss league and Dick needs to get that shot going if he wants to have an impact at the NBA level.
Hopefully Dick can figure it out soon.
DeMar DeRozan gets upset with Raptors late-game shot
The Toronto Raptors blew out the Chicago Bulls.
The game was all but over, when Pascal Siakam decided to put up a three in garbage time. DeMar DeRozan took offense with the shot as he wanted the Raptors to hold the ball.
However, Darko Rajakovic said that he was unaware that the Raptors were eliminated from the In-Season Tournament so Toronto kept playing for point differential.
