The Toronto Raptors had to deal with the loss of Fred VanVleet this summer during free agency.
The long-time Raptor signed a massive three-year, $128 million contract with the Houston Rockets.
Toronto had to search the point guard market for a replacement and decided on Dennis Schroder, signing him to a two-year, $26 million to fill the void of VanVleet.
Schroder has had an impressive start to the year for the Raptors. He is averaging 16.9 points and 6.7 assists on 46.2% from the field and 38.7% from 3-point range.
After being a sixth man for the past few seasons, Schroder as done a good job in the starting role. With some exceptional play on the court, the guard also takes time to vlog off the court.
Schroder has a YouTube channel where he shows his game day routines and the day-to-day of an NBA player.
His channel has almost 400,000 subscribers, where the content of sharing his daily life as an NBA player has been successful. Schroder began this venture about four seasons ago, which was during his first stint with the Los Angeles Lakers.
While Schroder speaks German in these videos, YouTube offers subtitles for those who need to view it in English.
The most recent video is Toronto’s recent visit to Indiana, where they took on the Pacers, which was a massive 132-131 win for the Raptors. Schroder scored 26 points on 10-for-16 on the field, accompanied by six rebounds and five assists.
For Raptors fans or simply NBA fans, it is cool to see what goes on in an NBA players life and what it is like to play in the association. Getting a peak behind the curtain is always entertaining and it seems Schroder is not letting up anytime soon.
Schroder is looking to lead the Raptors back to the playoff mix after Toronto missed out last season.
