The Toronto Raptors are now 5-5 on the young season with another comeback win against the Washington Wizards.
This was Toronto’s second comeback of 20 or more points in November.
Forward Pascal Siakam paved the way for the team, scoring a game-high 39 points. He scored 29 in the second half to propel the Raptors to victory.
Things were not looking good at halftime being down 64-45. It looked like the home stand was going to start on a somber note.
With the bench production being lackluster, Chris Boucher stepped up as he played with some much needed energy. In 21 minutes, Boucher put up 7 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks, earning the ‘Win The Day’ chain after the game on Monday:

Many fans expected Siakam to get the chain thanks to his 39-point performance. However, head coach Darko Rajakovic explained the meaning of the chain and how he decides who gets it:

Rajakovic told his team at halftime that he did not expect his players to go out and win on Monday. But, he wanted them to compete at a higher level and play with joy. That message was seemingly enough to get Toronto to overcome the 19-point deficit at half.
Boucher was one of those driving forces in the comeback. He’s an athletic and high motor big man, who can protect the rim and stretch the floor from time to time. The chain allows for players, like Boucher, to get recognition for what they do, beyond the stat sheet.
Update on O.G. Anunoby’s finger injury
Anunoby missed Monday’s game with a finger laceration. It was the second game he missed this season.
It was revealed that he cut his finger while doing household chores on Sunday.
Anunoby’s and Gary Trent Jr. are officially listed as doubtful against the Milwaukee Bucks.
